SOCIAL MEDIA PULSE
Brazil Social Media Pulse: Beyond Blush
Brazilian women are discovering creamy, versatile blush – and it’s a hit on social media. Already popular in other parts of the world, blush that can double as eye shadow and/or lipstick is still something of a novelty in the region, and it’s no surprise that people love it.
Brands like Mariana Saad by Océane, Vizzela Cosméticos, and Linha Bruna Tavares have jumped on the craze, and recently launched creamy blushes, which quickly sold out. “With its creamy texture that’s practical and easy to apply, plus great spreadability … it will be hard not to fall in love,” writes influencer Mariana Saad, discussing her new Blush Sticks collab with Océane, which sold out in no time.

Unlike matte powders, the creamy texture of the blush can be applied easily with fingers, and provides a more dewy, luminous finish to skin, as shown by Victoria Yamagata (53K IG followers) in a post she captions, “Blingbling.” In his tutorial using creamy blush by Linha Bruna Tavares, Higor Piccoli (4.1K IG followers) also gushes over the many benefits of this “dream product.” “The skin looks so velvety! Hello @brunatavares I want all the colors, it’s so beautiful! … We love monochrome looks and multifunctional products,” he says.
