As K-Culture continues to thrive across various domains like film, entertainment, music, art, and technology, K-Beauty has experienced a period of introspection and redefinition in the past years. Despite this, the core tenets of K-Beauty like product efficacy, technological innovation, ingestible products, a focus on overall well-being, and holistic health align seamlessly with the rising PSYCARE Movement.

The PSYCARE Movement represents a transformative wave in the beauty industry, foregrounding mental health and holistic well-being, and is set to impact both the global beauty industry and K-Beauty in the coming years. 

Traditionally, there exists a natural convergence of health, beauty, food, and wellness in Korean culture. To decipher PSYCARE’s implications on both the global beauty industry and K-Beauty, we recently held a dedicated symposium in Seoul, South Korea in partnership with prominent Korean trade press Beautynury. Organized as a comprehensive program of interviews with global industry figures and local Korean experts, conferences, and round table discussions, the symposium explored how PSYCARE will drive a multitude of categories as well as the market opportunities that it will set forth.

As part of the symposium, our panel of experts provided their input into global insights to innovate new product concepts based on the category opportunities that will evolve from the PSYCARE movement.
